1. Principles of Editorial Independence
GPIC accepts financial support from philanthropic foundations, academic research grants, multilateral development institutions, and individual donors. However, all funding agreements are executed under strict conditions ensuring:
- No Predetermined Outcomes: Donors have zero input into research methodologies, empirical findings, policy conclusions, or publication schedules.
- Scholar Autonomy: GPIC resident fellows and visiting scholars hold sole editorial authority over their research outputs.
- Transparency of Funding: All institutional grants above \$5,000 are published in our annual governance report.
2. Conflict of Interest Oversight
All scholars, research fellows, and board members are required to sign an annual Conflict of Interest disclosure. Financial interests, consulting arrangements, or government advisory positions that could influence objectivity must be declared prior to publication.
3. Peer Review & Methodological Integrity
Every flagship research report and policy memorandum undergoes rigorous double-blind peer review by internal senior fellows and external advisory council scholars before release.
